Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 June 2026

Inertia (“Inertia”, “we”, “us”) is a daily habit-tracking web app available at inertia.how. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as possible.

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to everyone who visits inertia.how or creates an Inertia account. If you don’t create an account, you can browse a demo with no personal data collected beyond basic, anonymous usage analytics (see §5).

We do not collect payment information, and we do not ask for any data we don’t need to run the app.

3. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your habit, task, or mood content for advertising.

4. Google user data

If you choose “Continue with Google”, we receive your email address and basic profile from Google solely to create and identify your account. Inertia’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer or use that data for any purpose other than providing the app.

5. Service providers we use

We rely on a small number of processors who handle data on our behalf:

ProviderPurpose
SupabaseAuthentication and database hosting (your account and content are stored here, in the EU).
GoogleOptional Google sign-in; analytics via Google Tag Manager.
Microsoft ClarityAnonymised, aggregated usage analytics / heatmaps to improve the interface.
NetlifyHosting and delivery of the website.

6. Where your data is stored & how it’s protected

Your account and content are stored with Supabase on servers in the European Union. Each row of your data is protected by database-level access rules (row-level security) so that you — and only you — can read or change your own data. All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

7. Data retention

We keep your account and content for as long as your account exists. You can delete your data at any time from within the app (Settings), or by contacting us to delete your account entirely. Local cache and preferences live on your device and are cleared when you sign out or clear your browser storage.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. The app lets you view and delete your data directly; for anything else, contact us at the address below and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.

9. Children

Inertia is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International users

If you access Inertia from outside the EU, your data will be transferred to and processed in the EU and other regions where our providers operate. By using the app you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, surface a notice in the app.
